Emergency Information
The Town of Southeast has compiled information in the event of an emergency, be it local, regional or national. Effective in 2015, the Town has implemented a set of policies and procedures to ensure the safety of its residents and employees in the event of an emergency.
Comfort Stations
A comfort station may provide information, heating/cooling, electrical power, cell charging, water, dry ice, but is not for overnight accommodations. A comfort station can be found at:
United Cerebral Palsy
15 Mount Ebo Road South (across from the Post Office)
Other locations will be available as the Town deems necessary.
NY Alert
To be informed in the event of an emergency, residents are strongly encouraged to register with NY Alert.
Emergency Plan
To be ready for an emergency, residents should have an Emergency Plan and a Go Bag.
House Number Display
According to Town Code, residents are required to have their legal E911 number visibly displayed on their house (their mailbox or a tree can be in addition to the house) so emergency responders (fire, ambulance, police) can find them in the event of an emergency. Failure to comply can result in fines being issued.
